The turns are not registering correctly

Modified on Sat, 3 Feb at 9:28 AM

To help ensure riders can maintain balanced training on each side of their horse, Equilab identifies and tracks/measures turns to the right and left during a ride. To do so, the app uses two key inputs:

  • GPS signal (which shows the path you took), and
  • Accelerometer/gyroscope data (which is the same set of sensors we use to detect your horse's gait).

If the GPS or sensor data collected is of low quality (due to poor signal or issues with your device), the accuracy of turn data may be lower. Typically, this is associated with lower tracking accuracy for gaits and distance/speed as well.

To help maximize the accuracy of tracking, we recommend following the steps described in this support article.
